Our Village
Set against the backdrop of the most incredible mountains, our houses all benefit from at least one source of electricity and internet is being rolled out too.
The people in our village have a variety of backgrounds. Some were born here, whilst others came here from Tibet and others yet have moved here from other places in Nepal. But wherever they have come from our people are kind and warm and known for their welcoming smiles.
Education in Tatopani
Our local school provides education for children from age 3 to 11. We have 4 or 5 teachers who dedicate their time to our children. A requirement to attend school is that each child wears a school uniform. From the age of 11 our children go to local towns to continue their education and many then continue on to Kathmandu for university education.
